Update 7: Hurricane Dorian, August 30, 2019 at 8 p.m.

After reviewing the National Hurricane Center’s 5 p.m. report, we would like to provide a campus update.

Hurricane Dorian continues to track toward Central Florida and is expected to bring severe wind and rain to the region Tuesday and Wednesday.  Based on these current projections, it is unlikely campus emergency personnel will be able to assess the safety and operational viability of campus until Thursday morning, at the earliest.

The uncertainty of the storm and its impact make plans difficult to resolve at this time. Our next update will be on Sunday in the early afternoon.  At that time, we will announce plans for students to return to campus and when classes will resume.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make plans to keep our entire campus community safe.

Please continue to monitor the College’s emergency site and Campus Safety Facebook and Twitter for the most up-to-date information.
