Update 12: Hurricane Dorian, September 4 at 1 p.m.

This morning the College’s Facilities team was able to conduct a preliminary walk-through to assess damage to campus. We have experienced some downed limbs and debris, but overall, we are pleased to report that campus has fared well. All buildings have power.

Now that we’ve been given the all-clear, we are actively working toward reopening campus on Thursday as planned, and will hold classes Friday. You will receive additional communications from your particular school (CLA, Holt and Crummer) providing specific information about Friday’s class schedule, information about the opening of residence halls at 8 a.m. Thursday, as well as additional information about Welcome Back activities starting Friday and running through next week.

We know many in our community are eager to support relief efforts in the Bahamas. Please also look for a message from the Center for Leadership & Community Engagement detailing ways you can help.

This will be the final update regarding Hurricane Dorian from the PIO team. We appreciate your continued patience and understanding after the storm.
