Level 2, Partial Activation: Hurricane Ian Update – September 27, 2022 at 9:30 p.m.

We are closely watching current forecast models of Hurricane Ian. Orange County is now in a Hurricane warning, and winds are expected to increase throughout the day tomorrow, with the strongest winds expected on Thursday, September 29.

Out of an abundance of caution and concern for members of the campus community, we are enacting emergency closure beginning at 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 28, and we will close residence halls at this time. During campus closure, only emergency essential employees are expected to work on campus. If you are unsure whether you are an emergency essential employee, please contact your supervisor.

Based on this change, the Marketplace and Bush Café are open until noon for anyone who needs to grab a meal before leaving campus. Any student who encounters any issues with the earlier closure should contact the Dean of Students at 407-646-2345 or care@rollins.edu for assistance.

Please continue to find up-to-date information at the Emergency site. Additionally, Orange County updates can be found here.
