Student Financial Assistance

From the Office of Financial Aid

Recently, Congress passed the CARES Act which provides emergency funding to students who have incurred additional expenses as a result of COVID-19. In addition to this federal act, Rollins College has created an emergency fund to assist students for these same purposes. To streamline your request for aid consideration in light of hardships created by the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ve created one application at

Application: A committee will review applications on a weekly basis to determine the amount that may be awarded. The amount of the award will be based on the expense incurred and financial need of the family. Please note that a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is not required.

Who Can Apply: Any Rollins student who is currently enrolled. Funds have been allocated based on enrollment in each graduate and undergraduate program.

Award: Most awards will range from $200 to $3,000 in order to benefit the most students.

Notification: At this time, we have not yet received the funding from the U.S. Treasury. As soon as we do, awarding will begin. You will receive an email to your Rollins email address with the decision on your application that includes award details as well as next steps.

Receipt of Funds: If you owe a balance on your student account, you will be given the option to use part of your funding to pay that balance with the remainder refunded via direct deposit. Please note: This is optional and will in no way impact the amount of the grant. Simply respond to your award notification email indicating your choice once you receive the request.

Fall 2020 – Spring 2021: If you or your family have incurred additional expenses or lost income during this time, please reach out to the Financial Aid Office for potential options. Depending on your circumstances, there may be additional federal, state, and institutional funding for next year.

Additional information is posted at We anticipate a large response to this email and appreciate your patience as we evaluate applications and emails.

With partners all across campus, Rollins is committed to assisting you through these challenging times. Please stay safe, be well, and we look forward to the day when we can all be back together safely on campus.
