November 12-19, 2018 – Rollins College is currently at Level 3 – Monitoring.
There are no significant weather systems that affect the central Florida area, at this time.
All scheduled campus activities are operating under normal conditions.
We are actively monitoring Hurricane Michael. At this time, it appears that central Florida will not be directly affected by this system.
We should expect elevated winds and gusts on Tuesday and Wednesday, and probably a greater chance of rain on those days.
We do not envision any disruption of normal College operations, however we will communicate any issue campus-wide, if the situation warrants. Outdoor activities may be affected.

Per Winter Park Police, Rollins lockdown has been lifted. At this time, there is not a suspect in custody, however, the area of focus is far enough from campus that Winter Park Police indicates the lockdown can be lifted. Please avoid the area around Orange and Denning until further notice. If you see any suspicious activity, call 911.
Per Winter Park Police, take shelter in the nearest available room and lock the door (if possible). Remain in place until the police, or a campus administrator known to you, gives the “all clear”. Call 911 if you have information. Standby for further information.
The Winter Park Police is investigating a shooting in the 900 block of Orange Ave. Please stay sheltered in place and await further information as the situation is resolved. Call 911 if you have information.
