Message to Faculty & Staff

From the COVID-19 Response Team

Dear Faculty and Staff:

The COVID-19 virus continues to spread worldwide and in the U.S., and has been raised to pandemic level by the World Health Organization. As a College, we are focusing on mitigating its possible effects in our community.

Today we made the decision to have all classes taught via virtual, synchronous learning through the end of the semester.

For Faculty and Staff:
Campus will remain open and operational as we continue the work of educating our students and caring for those who remain on campus without interruption. All faculty and staff should continue their regular work schedules and activities to the fullest extent possible as we adapt to the changing circumstances. At this time, we are not envisioning closing the college, but may need to continue to modify operations and services in order to ensure the safety of our students, faculty, staff and patrons. This may entail some adjustments in normal work responsibilities and assignments either on campus or remotely. All faculty and staff should continue to follow the health protocols the College has already put in place, based on Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines. Please work with your supervisor if you have special circumstances.

Please rest assured that our COVID-19 response and executive leadership teams are committed to supporting our faculty and staff through this evolving crisis and keeping their health, safety and best interests in mind every step of the way.

We will hold an Open Forum for Faculty and Staff today at 2 p.m. in Bush Auditorium to answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this evolving situation.
