Update 9: Hurricane Dorian, September 1 at 1:15 p.m.

After reviewing the National Hurricane Center’s 11 a.m. report, we would like to provide a campus update.

At this time, the path of the storm is still uncertain and potential risk to campus persists. While we are more optimistic about Dorian’s potential impact to campus, there are many factors that will determine when we re-open.

A thorough damage assessment is necessary before resuming normal operations following any major storm. We are hoping to conduct this damage assessment of campus on Wednesday. If we are able to complete this on Wednesday, we anticipate the campus will be open Thursday. Classes will likely resume on Friday – following a Wednesday class schedule.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make plans to keep our entire campus community safe.

Please continue to monitor the College’s emergency site and Campus Safety Facebook and Twitter for the most up-to-date information.
